what it all comes down to

what a month. i mean really. someone please tell me when i'll have a moment where there is nothing i have to do! as i was driving home from an audition just now, my ipod played "hand in my pocket" by alanis morissette. so fitting. life continues to keep me on my toes but i am here to report it hasn't gotten me down. october activities kept every one of my "hats" off the shelf.
  • 2 charity events
  • 5 costumes
  • 7 halloween parties
  • days on GH
  • guest spot on Ghost Whisperer
  • change in professional representation
  • frequent auditions
  • multiple acquisitions and installation/assembly of new furniture/decor
  • oliver's homework initiation
  • oliver's first pet: russian tortoise he named Genghis
  • audrey's 2 colds
there are many other accomplishments, unfortunately frequent blogging was not on the list. so i wanted to take a moment before i head off to set to check in. right now november looks like my opportunity to catch up. famous last words, right? but i feel a sense of excitement about what comes my way again. so much of the last 18 months has been about putting one foot in front of the other. about checking duties off a list. i now feel my hard work is paying off. although my list still gets added to daily, i do see the things i've crossed off. i am enjoying the results.

thank you all for sitting tight. i do plan to reveal my truths and one lie plus kate continues to make appearances. in fact, the one i'm taping today will certainly set off keyboards. look for "dead air" on your cbs channel soon. working on a single camera set after such a long time was no small experience. we'll all see together how it comes out...

next up: thanksgiving recipe hunt!

late for work,
megan

  5. Wow Megan, what a month!!!! You certainly are staying busy. That is so neat that you are going to be on The Ghost Whisperer---one of my shows I actually watch in the primetime. How about Private Practice or Greys Anatomy next!!! haha

Turtle for Oliver...hmmm, my nephew has a menagerie of those cold blooded pets, although never a tortoise. He has several lizards and dragons which of course I ONLY look at through secure cages!!! If they come out, Aunt Cindy leaves the area!!! :)

Thank you for blogging and telling us all that you have been doing...and yes, I will say once again, how about a Halloween pic!!! Surely there is one or two that you would not be too embarrassed to see! lol

Take care and hope all continues to go well.

  13. Hi Megan;

OK so first of all for making us wait so long... Thank You for the lengthy and detailed blog! :)

You have had some month.. I am excited to see the projects that you have been up to..Ghost Whisperer, way to put yourself out there in primetime again..Let the people know who Megan is and remember what a kickass actress she is.. Any chance we will see you opposite the "old boyfriend" Bailey PO5? He is looking pretty good still these days.. That show V looks a bit strange but hey..Upcoming GH scenes, keeping our keyboards rockin..hmmm.. More like the minds burning with anticipation of what the hell the scenes will be about..lol

Too bad for Audrey.. little germ factories just love to share eachother.. Yay for Oliver, I had a turtle once just a little baby that my Gpa almost ran over in the road but hey he was my first pet.. Then he got too big and out into the lake he went.. (I wonder what happened to him?)

Much Love and ditto to the request for some Costume Pics.. Next Event Planning should be on top of that list of the next things to do..~just sayin..~ Take Care and You being happy makes me happy :)

  22. Reading about everything that was on your plate last month, I find it remarkable and amazing that you find the time to accomplish half of what you do. And as busy as your life was, you still managed to go the extra mile for your fans at two charity events..... :=)

I anxiously await your guest shot on Ghost Whisperer and the new Kate scenes on GH. Hope all the auditions mean we will see your face more frequently in prime time AND daytime.

Already thinking about Thanksgiving?? You really are Super Woman! Slow down so the slackers can keep up with you.....

Keyboards = Piano???? ;-) Thanks for the blog!

  28. Ok, so the burning question last night among your fans after reading "plus kate continues to make appearances. in fact, the one i'm taping today will certainly set of keyboards" was, should we be excited or afraid. Unfortunately given GH's track record this past year we are of course all leaning towards the latter. Hopefully we are all worrying for nothing and it will turn out to be something fun.

Thanks for taking the time to blog. As you can tell by the comments here, we're all going to be watching out for your GW appearance. In fact, we're already planning a party in the chatroom for the night it airs.

Sorry to hear about Audrey having 2 colds this month. Unfortunately I can relate. Brooke was sick with a 'sniffy' nose and a cough for pretty much the entire month of October. Hope Audrey is feeling better now.

Thanks again for the blog, and I look forward to the rest ofthe stories that go along with your 10 truths and 1 lie.

    Laurie.

  29. My goodneses Megan you have had a full month. Thank you for taking the time to blog and update your fans on what's to come for you and Kate. I can't wait to see you on Ghost Whisperer. As for the Kate appearances, I am glad that there is more Kate to come. But since you said your scenes will set off keyboards I don't know if I should be happy or scared. I hoping it will set off all of our keyboards for a good reason. Until next time Megan.

  30. I have a long list of things to get done too. So far 10 have been checked off. It seems around the holidays everything is busy and we all get a little behind.

    On another note,
How did you go about picking an agent. Right now I'm trying to decide that very thing. I've wanted to become an actress for a long time and I'm just a few months away from turning 18. So I was wondering it you had any advice or suggestions. Thanks Megan.

    Taylor

  31. Set off the keyboards certainly gets one's attention.

Here are two questions for Megan--does Oliver know what was the first tortoise in space? Also, loved the WSJ (Wall Street Journal) article on the latest Barbie Doll-called Fashionista--who named it?

Looking forward to the many truths and one lie but I can not remember any of them-LOL. Dottie

  32. Ok, I thought my month of October was busy. Geez Megan...you win. Would you please send my way whatever magic remedy you have to keep up that pace?

Looking forward to my first viewing of Ghost Whisperer...when you are on of course.

Can't even begin to imagine what might be in store for Kate. Kind of nervous about this one but will try to remain hopeful.
