Best Laid Plans

What can I say?
I'm a girl with too many distractions. Even though I met many of my intentions in 2011, blogging was obviously not one of them.

This year, I found myself, appropriately so, right in the middle of my life. Libra tendencies in full force, I struggled physically and emotionally to find the balance between effort and surrender. (Yoga anyone?) But thru this struggle, I continued to learn about myself, my purpose and my place.

I'm learning to put my faith in the inherent promise of each new day. Every day I'm working on looking inward, instead of outward, for validation. So maybe that's why blogging just keeps getting put off for another day.

Although quiet, it's been a good year. I have much to be grateful for including having those who still care to listen. So for those who are, I defer to A A Milne & my beloved Muppets to make my melancholy point:

  1. Glad to read how you are doing--I have to say I miss your blogs but definitely understand the lack of them Sounds like you continue to be that positive, strong, and busy lady I have come to know you as. Hoping 2012 is as great as 2011--Cindy

  2. yes! another thought provoking, insightful blog! thank you! i really think you should write a book (in your spare time). Deep Thoughts by Megan Ward... ;-)

BTW, what the heck is yarn craving?

  3. Awe cool you blogged again. thoughts to paper can often inspire us to the right path of wisdom and change. But in your case no need to change (pleassseee dont ever change) lol about the yarn...just yesterday i said i was intrigued about it hard to do? I truly wish for you and your family a wonderful if not glorious start to 2012 filled with the finest in peace, love, luck

    xoxo Ida

PS to go with the champagne nye...(blushing, please dont be offended)very old italian traditions say to wera umm your sexiest RED undergarments at midnight to bring only gl thruought new year for you...and for extra superstition at midnight break old dishes and glasses..very fun and stress reliever if u toss them out the window =-D

  6. Sometimes we need those introspective years - it's amazing how they open so many doors in their own way. Glad it was a good year for you, and wishing you all the very best for 2012. I hope it sparkles with joy and that every dream comes true :)

  7. You know you are always loved! Altho we have had different hurdles to get over this year.. one hurdle has and will never change.. devotion to you and how grateful I am to know you. We have had to adjust to not seeing you on our screens and not hearing from you near as much as we would like to. I only want the world for you.. you deserve it and more! I hope 2012 brings u new and wonderful challenges and much satisfaction and joy!!

    I love you Megan

    Kimmie xoxo

  8. Thank you for blogging. What a nice way to end the year.

Always ready to listen whenever you care to share your always thought-provoking and inspiring thoughts.

And thank you for so often including us with your tweets and your pics. It's always fun and makes special occasions even more special. So here's wishing you a new year even better than the last.

    Love you much!

  9. It sounds like this has been an important year for you. I know from experience that finding one’s purpose is one of the most painful and difficult processes we go through. It takes courage, tenacity and complete honesty with yourself to get through the process. But the result is clarity in direction and peace with life’s changes as they come along. (well, some of them anyway. LOL) Peace and clarity result in success and happiness.

You know, aside from the George Harrison when I was ten, I have never written to or been an active fan of any celebrity. When you first appeared on GH, there was just something very special that drew me to you and the more I’ve gotten to know you, the better I understand that pull. You are an incredibly intelligent, insightful and wise young woman. You’ve been a great role model for all of us—young and old. You have modeled for us how to handle life’s travails with dignity, grace, class and integrity.

Megan, it’s hard to find the words to express how much I admire and respect you. Thank you so much for sharing what’s going on in your thoughts and life with us. We are not only your fans, but your friends. We will stand by you, no matter where you go or what you do. We will always wait patiently for you and no one will ever take your place in our hearts.

BTW, funny thing about purpose: it does not have to be grandiose. Sometimes the greatest accomplishments are borne of the simplest purpose.

I wish you love, peace and happiness in 2012.

  10. Stairs, escalators, elevators, treadmills, or wherever your life's journey takes you next.....I hope it is melancholy free and may the odds be ever in your favor for 2012 and beyond :) Thanks for the blog.

peace, love, & Jim Henson magic~

  11. Thanks for always making time to tweet and share your thoughts and pics with us.
Isn't it amazing that as we get older(not you who just got become more interested in learning and discovering about our inner soul?!
I wish everything good and wonderful for you and your family in 2012.
