  2. Hey Megan!

So your "Happy U-S-A Day" weekend sounded a lot more eventful than mine! I love everything on your list! Okay so Wimbledon, wasn't it awesome!?! I suck at playing tennis but I loveee watching it. Happy to hear you had a great time! Thanks for the blog! :D

  3. hahah great to see that you had some liberating moments in there. And I have to agree that wimbledon just kicked all kinds of culi. Its really an awesome game....of course after soccer lol. My favorite 3 has gotta be the brownies the beer and the boardgames. Something kinda of magical to sit on the back porch with friends/family play a round of games while kicking back and drinking a beer....yes ladies and gents summer time just rocks :-)~
Hopefully you were also able to see an incredible array of fireworks as well..the hudson river was all light up like never before here. Just adoreee fireworks.............

    respect & admiration always

  5. PS Vanessa is certain you are referring to a fairly recent movie "Notorious" which is about the rapper Notorious B.I.G. Is that right? If so, next up on your rap education list should be "8 Mile". FYI, Vanessa's from Detroit ("the suburbs, missy"). Or were you talking about a different movie???

  6. Sounds like you had fun this weekend! I love Wimbledon...the men's final today was just amazing to watch...but I have to admit, I did really, really want Roddick to win, even though I like Federer, too.

And like Kristina said, what about the fireworks?

    Thanks for the new blog!

  10. Hey there! Thank you for clarifying which "Notorious" you were talking about. haha After I googled it and saw that there was another movie by the same name that was a Hitchcock film starring Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman, I kinda figured it might be that one and not the one about the rapper. lol But hey, you never know! Thanks again! You and your blog are awesome! :D

  13. Well, my list for this weekend was very similar to your top ten--BBQ, Brownies and Board games!! I went up to St. Louis to visit the family. We had a battle royal on the game, Outburst! It ended tied...guess we will have to have a rematch on the next visit. Glad you had a wonderful and relaxing holiday weekend... definitely what I needed as well. With a particular trip coming up....hmmm, I wonder what that would be....I really do not think it will be that "relaxing"....but for sure full of fun and excitement!!! Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

  15. First off, thanks for the blog. Always appreciated. Sounds like you had a great 4th. That is what I call a list for a fun and relaxing weekend. And "Notorious" is one of my favorite movies - now I want to pull out my DVD and watch it again. Power of suggestion I guess, seems I'm wanting the beer and brownies too. ;o)

  25. I'm so glad you had a happy and relaxing (?)4th, Megan. You did an awful lot in three days! I spent the weekend down the shore (that's Jersey talk for at the beach) at my brother's. We had a BBQ and played games too, but we're a more physical family--volleyball, badminton, horseshoes and corn hole! I beat their butts at the last two games, which isn't easy when you're blind and in a wheelchair! LOL

Looking forward to the 18th--another great holiday for your fans.

  30. Megan,

I am glad that you had a great 4th. All the things on your list sound great to me. I also had a great holiday. My aunt Jeane’s birthday was on the 5th so the whole family threw her a big birthday party. It was a lot of fun to have a celebration for my aunt considering all that she has been through this year. It was great to hear from you and I can't wait until your next blog.

  31. Compare to your previous lists this one shows that you finally got some time to do things on your own pace,to sit down and watch movies and long sets of tennis, instead of rushing in and out of the house or entertaining guests. I'm so glad you had a fun and relaxing weekend. I did #1,2,4,8 and 9 plus fireworks! It was great.

  32. I spend the weekend watching Wimbledon too, so which of the Williams sister did you cheer for and who did you pick between Roger and Andy? Glad that you had a great holiday.

  33. Lucky little duck. I worked every single day this weekend, and the 4th is my favorite holiday. Makes me sad. Anyway, I'm jealous of the naps and the beer. Haha.
