things i have learned in the last 24 hours

  1. mini nutter butters taste just as good with wine, as the regular size.
  2. wrigleyville t-shirts transition well from yoga to animation auditions.
  3. mommy-daughter bracelets are good bribes to finish dinner.
  4. dot-to-dot is both fun daddy-time and sneaky stalling-shower-time.
  5. what nature doesn't give you, cartoonist can.
  6. you can never have too many band-aids.
  7. must be careful when handling puzzles.
  8. let teens pick out your accessories.
  9. men who take children to grandparents for early morning swim because mother was out playing until 2:30am, make good husbands.
  10. friends who sacrifice finances, time and sleep, can fill a room with enough love to last through any drought.

honorable mentions:

*bring uhaul to next gathering.

*taffy is supposed to be soft?!

  7. Megan-
There are not enough experlatives (how bout that big word!)to describe the Megan Ward weekend in LA. For you to make an appearance at all three events was above and beyond the call of duty.
I, too, would love to know how you find the time to accomplish all that you do on a daily basis. Whatever you are eating, drinking or smoking, can you please let me know where I can purchase some? :-)

Please thank your husband and children for sharing you with us! Thanks, also to Kristi and Jessica and your other peeps for another great event.

    Thank You Megan! <3

P.S. Next time, can you make the tablecloths a different color? Beige does not look good on me! How bout royal blue???? ;-)

  8. Wow Megan, that is some list. Your blogs never cease to amuse me - that list made me giggle. I loved them all, but #9 is my favorite. You have a good man there missy. A good man for a good woman- just as it should be :-)

I heard all the events were WONDERFUL. You know how to entertain and amuse people. Thanks for being so down to earth, it is very refreshing. I wish I could have been there, but I am so thrilled that everyone had a blast. I'm looking forward to reading the recaps and seeing more pictures.

I see some handsome men - in hats - visited you at your event. They knew you liked hats - right?

May I just say that you were rocking all your outfits. The hair, shoes, earrings -loved it all.

I hope we see you soon on GH. You are greatly missed. I don't watch the show much right now - high blood pressure is not good. The show needs classy Kate - they are greatly lacking in that dept right now. ;-)

Thanks for giving so much to your fans. You really are the best!! Linda

P.S. You should be a writer in your spare time. :-)

  9. I'm giving a big shout out to wrigleyville since it's my hood and all... Cubbies!!!! Hope the hat works with it too! So much fun this weekend, adore you, but you already knew that!

  17. Thanks for the blog Megan. I am glad that you had a great time at the fan weekend. I hope that my aunt will be well enough so that we can come to your next fan gathering. Taking the kids to their granparents while you hung out with friends certainly sounds like a great husband to me. Take care and I hope to see Kate Howard on our screens soon.

  18. "you can never have too many band-aids."

I love this one. Having a three year old daughter myself, I can complete relate. In fact, I am actually considering taking out stock in Johnson & Johnson. I swear, half the time Brooke is going around looking like a walking sticker book!

Sorry to say I missed your event this time around, but I hear it was lots of fun. I promised Kristi that we'd give you a 2 week grace period after this last event before starting our campaign for the next one. My vote is for Canada of course ("Megan goes International" has a nice ring to it), but Chicago works too!

  19. Dear Megan, I don't really know how to thank you enough for all the time, love and attention you gave us this weekend. You are simply the best.

My thanks to Kristi and Jessica for running a flawless event. And Kristi please thank your friends for helping to put the puzzle back together!

Btw, Megan, I'm SO glad it wasn't me who dumped the puzzle. That is something I so would have done and Cindy would have killed me!

You have a piece of my heart, Megan.

    Love, peace and happiness always.

  20. What can I say Megan....definitely you are right on #7 on that list! Let me add that I had so much fun putting you back together!!!! You have to break it apart again and put yourself together at least once...then please get some glue for that puzzle!!! LOL

Seriously Megan, you were so sweet and kind and funny and just amazing this weekend....I cannot tell you how much fun it was and how many others have said exactly the same thing. On your list I think number 10 is the best! That room was overflowing!!! Take care Megan!

  21. Just when I think there is no way you could possibly top yourself, somehow, someway, you manage to do so every time. It never ceases to amaze how attentive and giving you are to everyone. And just how you manage to know and remember it all is unreal.

Jessica was great and Kristi was of course super. The whole event was incredible as were you. Your time, boundless energy and great good humor are unparalleled and appreciated more than you could possibly know.

For all that you do, all that you give, and for not only putting up with us but making us feel special, THANK YOU! It can't be said enough. You are truly a ROCKSTAR!!!

  22. So Chicago is next? Can I please have 3 months head up on this, I might be able to attend. Been reading all the various recaps and blog from last weekend, sounds like everyone had a blast. I think the major resounding agreement is that You were a great host. I hope they didn't tire you out too much.

    4. Bonding with my SKater/Meganite friends
